Chained Beasts Accessibility: Confirmed Features and Limits

Which accessibility features are listed officially?

The Xbox product listing provides the clearest structured accessibility information among the pages reviewed. Its labels are useful for initial screening, but they are not a substitute for checking the actual edition and a specific access need.

Xbox-listed feature What to verify for your needs
Difficulty levels Which settings and modifiers the current game offers
On-demand tutorials Whether the instructions explain the action you need
Pausable gameplay Behavior in the intended solo or online session
Multiple volume controls Which sound categories the current menu exposes
Stereo sound Whether your listening setup conveys the cues you need
Save anytime The actual checkpoint and restoration behavior

We have not tested these controls in a launched Xbox build. A listing label should not be expanded into a claim about screen readers, text scaling, colorblind modes, remapping or a particular subtitle setting when those details are absent from the source.

Can you turn off screen shake?

In a Steam accessibility discussion, a player reported that screen shake made the Demo difficult to use. A developer replied that there would be an option to turn it off. That is a direct developer commitment, but the discussion did not provide a current menu path or independently confirm the shipped toggle at our pre-release check.

If this feature determines whether you can play, inspect the current game settings or obtain a current official confirmation before relying on the promise alone. We do not invent a Settings > Accessibility route. The same discussion does not establish a separate switch for all flashing effects.

Does “Save anytime” mean you can restore the middle of a battle?

The Xbox label does not document that exact behavior. Separately, the developer’s Steam reply explains day-start checkpoints, with a same-host lobby restoration flow and the same checkpoint system in solo play. Those are different levels of detail from different sources.

Our checkpoint guide keeps the precise developer explanation intact. We do not turn the broad Xbox label into a manual mid-battle save procedure, nor assume that it proves a contradiction without testing the relevant edition.

How should language and controller information affect the decision?

Check supported languages for interface, subtitle and audio distinctions. A language being listed does not establish readable subtitle size or the ability to change every visual effect.

The Steam listing recommends a controller and lists full controller support, but that is not proof of unrestricted remapping or universal support for specialist devices. The controls overview explains the verified support and preparation steps without assigning an unverified layout to every platform.

What should an accessibility question include?

Describe the specific obstacle, platform, game version and whether the issue occurs in the tutorial, a menu, local play or online play. A short clip or screenshot can help demonstrate an effect, but do not include account credentials or personal information in a public discussion.

This level of detail is more actionable than asking only whether the game is accessible. It also helps distinguish an option that is absent, an option whose behavior differs from the description and a feature that was discussed for a future build.
