Chained Beasts Roadmap: Update 1.1 and Planned PvP

Featherweight Games published a post-launch roadmap on October 12, 2026. It targets update 1.1 in December with a new arena, boss, weapon and enemies, followed by a desired PvP mode in Q1 2027. These are development plans, not features we are marking as released.

What is planned for update 1.1?

The roadmap describes a new arena with its own boss, a new weapon and accompanying enemies. The announcement places this update in December, but does not establish a fixed day or provide a final patch changelog.

For readers deciding what the base game contains, keep the launch campaign separate from additions on this roadmap. A planned arena should not be counted as already available in a walkthrough.

When is PvP expected?

The developer says it would like to add PvP in Q1 2027 so friends can fight each other. That wording signals an intention. It does not confirm matchmaking rules, ranked play, a final format or an exact release date.

The existing co-op overview describes cooperative play. Do not interpret competitive plans as evidence that the launch game already has a player-versus-player mode.

What other additions were discussed?

The post mentions new skills and afflictions around the PvP work, then discusses possible later acts, beasts, variants and cosmetics. The later possibilities are presented as areas for future consideration informed by player interest.

We therefore do not convert those possibilities into promised content quantities. The beast progression guide uses the announced launch figure rather than adding hypothetical future characters.

How will this page distinguish plans from patches?

An announcement can establish a target; a released changelog can establish that a feature shipped. We will update the page when that evidence changes, using the real review date. Until then, check the developer’s original roadmap before treating a target as a commitment. The launch article covers the confirmed release announcement separately.
