Chained Beasts Demo vs Full Game: What Changes?

What does the Carthage Demo cover?

The Demo listing describes an expanded version of the full game’s first act, with five battles and a first boss riding a rhino. It is useful for trying the game’s core chain-linked combat, but its encounter count does not describe the full campaign.

The launch overview instead announces nine battles across three acts before a final encounter. The named chapters are Carthage, Germania and Rome. Treat these as statements from different products and versions, rather than combining every count into one supposed campaign total.

Topic Demo evidence Announced full game
Campaign scope Expanded Carthage first act; five battles Three acts; nine battles before the final encounter
Difficulty Updated Demo named four options Ten increasingly difficult levels
Beast selection Reworks and additions changed during updates Eight unlockable beasts and variants announced
Skills, afflictions and items Selection expanded across Demo updates More than 70 skills, over 70 afflictions and 40+ purchasable items

Can you still download the free Demo?

The developer said the Carthage Demo would be taken offline when the full game launched. At our October 15 pre-release source check, the inspected Demo listing still offered it. That observation does not promise continuing free access after the announced unlock time.

Use the current official store page as the availability check. Avoid download mirrors that claim to provide a current free edition without a developer source. Our release article records the announced global time and its Singapore equivalent, so a different local calendar date is not mistaken for a delay.

Are the PC requirements and languages identical?

The inspected Windows Demo minimum listed 4 GB RAM; the full game’s Windows minimum listed 8 GB. The main game’s interface and subtitle matrix also listed twelve languages, compared with ten in the Demo. These are concrete reasons to check the correct product’s requirements rather than copy an old Demo table.

Read the PC requirements and language comparison for the verified listing details. A machine running the Demo is evidence about that Demo on that setup; it is not a benchmark of the full game at a particular resolution or frame rate.

Does Demo progress or a mid-run save transfer?

The sources reviewed do not establish a general Demo-to-full-game progress transfer. The checkpoint discussion also contains a correction saying run restoration would arrive with launch. The later developer replies explain how full-release day-start checkpoints are intended to work in solo and same-host online sessions.

Use the checkpoint guide for that workflow. Do not treat Steam Cloud, a beast unlock or a Demo run as proof that every piece of progress will migrate to another product or platform.

How should you use older videos and guides?

Look for the capture date, product name and visible difficulty or content before relying on a specific instruction. Older footage can still illustrate a chain interaction or an environmental idea, while being out of date about shields, beast variants, training or available chapters.

Our articles label historical mechanics near the claim. Where a launch-specific number or control has not been verified, use the current in-game description rather than assuming an old demonstration is a complete full-game walkthrough.
