Chained Beasts Acts, Arenas and Campaign Progression
Understand the announced three-act route through Carthage, Germania and Rome, plus the difference between the campaign and the old Demo.

The official platform announcement names three arena chapters: Carthage, Germania and Rome. The later launch overview describes nine battles across three acts before a final encounter. That is the announced campaign structure, not a promise that an old Demo walkthrough covers the full game.
Where does the campaign begin?
Carthage is the opening chapter and the setting used for the public Demo. Its role makes it a sensible place to learn the movement and environmental interactions described in our beginner guide. We do not assume the number or balance of Demo battles transfers unchanged to launch.
What is different about Germania?
The developer’s July beta announcement introduced Germania as Act 2, with a colder arena, new threats and spike traps. It also introduced Goliath, described as having jumping and ground-slam attacks. These are documented beta details, not an exhaustive launch boss moveset.
Use the announcement as context for why positioning matters. Do not infer exact health, weakness or damage values from promotional footage. Our combat guide focuses on observing hazards and retaining space to react.
What has been announced for Rome?
The September platform announcement identifies Rome as the final chapter and names Praefectus with the Praetorian Guard. It does not provide enough information for a verified attack-by-attack boss walkthrough, so we are not presenting one.
This distinction matters when planning a run: a complete route needs information beyond Carthage, while a first-run introduction can be useful without pretending to contain all late-game solutions.
How do upgrades fit into progression?
Skills, equipment and accumulated injuries shape subsequent fights. The developer has also described surgery between acts. Review the skills and shopping guide and the healing guide before making a costly decision. The launch announcement lists ten difficulty levels; four-level Demo references should be labeled as historical.
